This is a fun but challenging basket to weave! Students will start with a square base and weave it into a round basket using a split spoke technique I call “weaving in the round”. The basket is accented with a band of X’s woven with a contrasting color. The basket is finished with a hand carved oak handle. The finished size of this basket is approximately 38” circumference by 10” tall without the handle by and 18” tall with the handle.
